Come join us at the Port Tobacco River Conservancy’s 3rd Annual Wade-In on Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Chapel Point State Park in Port Tobacco, MD, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

* Share in a presentation by a tribal historian with the Piscataway-Conoy.
* Event led by Bernie Fowler & Tim Hutchins.
* Learn about the progress of three rain gardens at McDonough High School.
* See live raptors brought by Clearwater Nature Center.
* Enjoy refreshments and desserts by Terry Stancliff, Ouzo’s and Outback of La Plata.
* This event is being held in partnership with the Maryland Park Service.
* Wear your white sneakers!
Directions to the Wade-In:
Chapel Point State Park is approximately 5.5 miles west of La Plata on Chapel Point Road. Follow Route 6 West for 2 miles and turn left on to Chapel Point Road at Murphy’s store and continue another 3.5 miles.
The entrance to the park is a sharp right before St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
